Terms of Service

1. The App

Screenshot AI Tool helps you search selected screenshots and photos, extract text with OCR, and ask questions about saved material. Features may change, be improved, or become temporarily unavailable as we maintain the App and its supporting services. The App may be offered free of charge with usage limits and/or as a paid subscription.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age required to use the App Store and AI features where you live. The App authenticates your installation with a pseudonymous device identifier; you are responsible for activity on devices where you install the App.

3. Your license to use the App

Subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App for your own lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, rent, lease, sell, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You choose which folders or images to index. You retain ownership of your screenshots, photos, text, prompts, and other material you provide to the App ("Your Content").

You grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to operate the App for you — including uploading images for OCR/captioning/embeddings, generating search indexes, and producing chat responses. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.

You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that you have the rights, permissions, and legal basis to process it with Screenshot AI Tool. Do not use the App to process material in a way that violates law, infringes another person's rights, or attempts to harm, disrupt, scrape, overload, or misuse the service or its quotas.

5. AI features

The App uses automated systems to perform OCR, generate captions, search content, and answer questions. These systems can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Check important information against the original source before acting on it.

The App is not designed to provide medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other professional advice. Do not rely on AI-generated output as the sole basis for a decision with significant consequences.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

The App may offer paid subscriptions (for example monthly or yearly plans) and free tiers with limits. Prices, billing period, trial availability, and renewal terms are displayed to you in the App Store before purchase.

Purchases, billing, cancellations, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple through your Apple Account and are subject to Apple's terms and policies. We do not process or store your payment-card information. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how the App processes images, OCR text, device identifiers, usage data, feedback, and AI requests. It is incorporated into these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The App depends on third-party services, including Apple’s App Store / StoreKit and AI providers accessed via OpenRouter. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes made by third parties outside our reasonable control.

9. Intellectual property

The App, branding, website, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you other than the limited license above.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that every search, transcription, caption, or AI response will be correct.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to the App is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App or related paid services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any subscription through Apple. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or if we discontinue the App. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, our services, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after the update takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
